Spectrum Health Pennock Continues Parking Lot Construction

Eight-week construction project will allow for more efficient parking at Pennock

July 28, 2021

Phase one of the Pennock parking lot repaving project, nearing completion, included the space directly behind the Baum Family Surgery Center and hospital.

Spectrum Health Pennock is undergoing a parking lot repaving project to improve parking efficiencies for patients and visitors. The eight-week project will be broken into two four-week phases to ensure parking remains available.

Beginning Monday, August 2, construction will begin in the main parking lot between the Medical Arts Building and Wellness Center. The repaving of this lot will be split into two phases. For the month of August, signage will direct patients into the parking lot through the west entrance, closer to the emergency entrance, and individuals will exit on the east side of the lot, closer to the Wellness Center.

Those patients visiting for surgery or cancer services will enter through the Baum Family Surgery Center main entrance. Patients may be dropped off at the doors to this space. Parking for patient guests is available behind the surgery center.

Parking directly in front of the emergency department is reserved for those patients seeking emergency care, along with lab and X-ray patients. Signs will direct you to the appropriate spaces.

Phase one of the project, repaving the parking lot directly behind the Baum Family Surgery Center and hospital, is complete.

“We look forward to having this project completed, offering our patients and visitors more efficient and easy parking opportunities,” said Bernie Jore, chief operating officer, Spectrum Health Pennock. “The updated lots will allow for a smooth flow and increased width of parking spaces to enhance parking.”

The final phase of the project will begin in early September. All services remain open during construction.
