Spectrum Health Sponsors Week of Ortho Seminars
Spectrum Health will host a week of public seminars focused on common orthopedic health concerns.
The public is invited to learn about treatment options for shoulder, hand/wrist and foot/ankle pain. The free seminars will be held at Calvin College, Prince Conference Center in southeast Grand Rapids.
Seminar schedule:
Shoulder Pain
Monday, December 8 at 7 p.m.
Peter Ugolini, MD
Dr. Ugolini will discuss the causes, evaluation and treatment of common shoulder problems.
Hand and Wrist (and Elbow too) Pain
Tuesday, December 9 at 7 p.m.
Julian Kuz, MD
Dr. Kuz will discuss advances in treatment for common problems of the hand, wrist and elbow including arthritis, sports injuries, trauma and nerve compression.
Foot and Ankle Pain
Thursday, December 11 at 7 p.m.
Donald Bohay, MD
Dr. Bohay will explore three common foot and ankle complaints; plantar fasciitis, bunions and ankle arthritis. The discussion will include when and if surgery is an option.
