Spectrum Health Welcomes Internal Medicine Physicians

February 28, 2017

NORTON SHORES, Mich., February 28, 2017 – Spectrum Health Medical Group Internal Medicine is expanding with the integration of Daniel A. Farrell, MD, and Erlund  Larson, MD, into the practice at 427 Seminole Road in Norton Shores. The change is effective March 1, 2017.

“We’re pleased that Dr. Farrell and Dr. Larson are joining us at SHMG Internal Medicine,” said Herbert F. Miller, MD. “We are committed to greater access and improved medical outcomes for patients, all while providing the same compassionate care right in here in Norton Shores.”

The practice has moved to the second floor of 427 Seminole Road to provide a more spacious and comfortable setting. For the convenience of patients, the office also will have onsite lab testing. Patients and community members are invited to tour the new office space during an open house from 5:30-7:30 pm March 16.

“Spectrum Health is dedicated to providing timely and convenient access to care throughout the region. We are proud to expand our team in the Muskegon community and look forward to further caring for patients and their families along the Lakeshore,” said David Ottenbaker, MD, associate chief medical officer, regions, Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Both Dr. Farrell and Dr. Larson specialize in internal medicine and are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Farrell earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Dr. Larson earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Both providers come to Spectrum Health from Mercy Health in Muskegon.

Also joining the practice is Tabetha Tenney, PA-C. Tenney, who earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Grand Valley State University, is a member of the Spectrum Health Medical Group.

The office is accepting new patients. Patients may call 231.739.6000 to schedule an appointment.

The expansion of the practice is one of many ways Spectrum Health is working to provide convenient, high-quality and coordinated care in the Muskegon area. The Spectrum Health Medical Group Family & Internal Medicine office opened in October, 2015, and the Spectrum Health Integrated Care Campus at North Muskegon opened last December.
