Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital Announces Top Baby Names for 2021
ZEELAND, Mich., December 27, 2021 – The Family Birth Center team at Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital has provided award-winning care to just over 700 babies delivered this year.
Typically, each year one special name rises to the top of the baby name list, however, 2021 has been anything but typical in many ways. This year, three names reign supreme for baby girls, including Isabella, Kinslee and Sophia. Sophia is holding strong, as it was also the top girl baby name for Zeeland Community Hospital in 2020.
For baby boy names, the 2020 leader Henry has been replaced by new list topper, Liam.
Continuing with the trend of numerous leaders, tied for second place girl names were:

Tied for third place were:

For boys’ names, there was a six-way tie for second most popular:
- Brooks
- Easton
- Isaac
- Jace
- Oliver
- Theodore
Third most popular was:
- Joseph
This year, the Family Birth Center team earned platinum designation for maternal care from the Michigan Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (MI AIM). Additionally, Zeeland Community Hospital was also identified as one of the nation’s best maternity hospitals, according to the inaugural list of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals for Maternity.
