Tina Freese Decker honored as one of Michigan’s most influential women

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Nov. 9, 2021—Crain’s Detroit Business has named Tina Freese Decker, Spectrum Health System’s president and CEO, one of Michigan’s 100 Most Influential Women in 2021.

Every five years, this prestigious recognition highlights the careers and achievements of women leaders across the state. Freese Decker first was honored in 2016 and again joins a list of women who are helping to shape Michigan’s future in all industries including health care, automotive, nonprofit, entrepreneurial and public service.

Over her 19 years of serving Spectrum Health in various strategic and operational roles, Freese Decker has developed a track record for cultivating culture and driving strategy. She is committed to building a health system that celebrates and reinforces diversity, equity and inclusion for team members, patients, families and members.

As president and CEO, she has successfully implemented a new mission, vision and values for the health care organization. This foundational strategic work has been instrumental to improving health and access, lowering costs and reducing health inequities.
