Vascular Surgeons Join Spectrum Health Medical Group

The vascular surgery and VeinSolutions practices of Robert Cali, MD, Christopher Chambers, MD, PhD, Robert Cuff, MD, RVT, FACS, Lewis L. DeKryger, MD, Jill Gorsuch, MD, M. Ashraf Mansour, MD, and Peter Wong, MD, are now part of The Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Tucci, MD, MMM, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “The excellent reputation for quality care and academic pursuit that these surgeons have built in this community is evidence of their expertise and unique specialty care.”

The surgeons will maintain their current locations at 4069 Lake Drive S.E., Suite 312 as well as the VeinSolutions location at 4085 Burton S.E, Suite 102.

Robert Cali, MD, earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He also completed fellowships in critical care, peripheral vascular surgery and endovascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

Christopher Chambers, MD, PhD, earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine as well as a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also completed a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Washington University.

Robert Cuff, MD, RVT, FACS, earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and served his residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He served a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Lewis L. DeKryger, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Pontiac General Hospital, as well as a general surgery residency at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. He also completed surgery service in the U.S. Navy.

Jill Gorsuch, MD, earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and served her residency through the Grand Rapids/Michigan State University General Surgery Residency Program. She also completed a peripheral vascular surgery fellowship through Michigan State University and received additional endovascular training at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina.

M. Ashraf Mansour, MD, earned his medical degree at Cairo University School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. After serving in the United States Army as a major in the Medical Corps, he completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

Peter Wong, MD, earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He completed a general surgery internship at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and a general surgery residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. He also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Two physician assistants’Gary Bissonette, PA-C, and Michael West, PA-C’will also make the transition to The Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Gary Bissonette received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska.

Michael West received his nursing degree from Chaffey College in Alta Loma, California and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the Western Michigan University Physician Assistant Program.

The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
