Wolk Named New Spectrum Health Medical Group President

Seth W. Wolk, MD, MHSA has been named the new president of the Spectrum Health Medical Group (SHMG). Dr. Wolk has been serving as interim president of SHMG since January 2014.

Spectrum Health Medical Group, formed in 2008, is now one of the largest multispecialty physician groups in Michigan with more than 860 physicians and providers.

A board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr. Wolk has been a member of the SHMG physician leadership team since 2012 having also served as the group’s associate chief medical officer and department chief, surgical services. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Following this he earned his fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Wolk also has a graduate degree in health care services administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

Dr. Wolk is an accomplished researcher who has received many grants during his career. He has been recognized for many honors and awards, including the William J. Fry Teaching Award from the University of Michigan Medical School and Chief Resident Appreciation Award from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI.
